Passengers from Oman to pay OMR2 extra as airport tax
Outbound airline passengers will have to pay OMR2 extra as tax for every trip from Oman airports from July 1, travel agents said, citing a notice issued by Oman Air. According to the notice, there will be an increase in tax from OMR8 to OMR10 for international passengers from Oman. According to the latest data available, total passenger traffic (including transit and transfer passengers) passing through the Muscat International Airport, increased by 20 per cent to 1,021,929 passengers during January, compared with 851,588 passengers for the same period in 2015.
