Etisalat Misr ordered to pay EGP285 million (AED117 million) to Orange Egypt for dispute settlement
The Cairo Regional Center for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) has ordered Etisalat Group’s [ETEL.AD] subsidiary, Etisalat Misr to pay EGP285 million (AED117 million) to Orange Egypt (previously Mobinil) as compensation for the settlement of the interconnection dispute between the two operators. The company will also be required to pay interest on payment delays and the fees of the arbitration. It is still not clear if this is a final ruling or not (Company disclosure; Reuters)
